 This year's Walk Kick-Off and subsequent Family Fun event will be indoors.

What does it mean to be a Walker? Walking for Interfaith Social Services will help impoverished local families who are living right here on the South Shore. Since the recession began Interfaith's food pantry has seen a 70% increase in the number of people who cannot afford to feed their families. Last year alone Interfaith's volunteers fed over 17,000 people; these people are your neighbors. Walk to help them survive these difficult times.

Start getting pledges today! Ask family, co-workers and neighbors to give what they can. Bring your collected pledges the day of walk and receive a South Shore Walk T-shirt! All donations are tax deductible (Interfaith's tax ID # is 04-2104853).

If you are unable to walk or unavailable to come on April 21st, you can still be a part of the event by gathering pledges or asking local businesses to sponsor.
